Blood and Stem Cell Donation Event by the “From Heart to Heart” Team

Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University Nursing Students Lead an Inspiring Blood and Stem Cell Donation Campaign Fourth-year students from the Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing at Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University carried out a remarkable initiative under the name of their social responsibility team, “From Heart to Heart.” As part of this project, a Blood and Stem Cell Donation Event was organized on the university campus on November 12–13, 2024, attracting significant student participation.

During the event, 154 individuals donated blood. Additionally, to raise awareness about stem cell donation, a seminar was held on November 6, 2024, with 50 participants in attendance. In this seminar, Hüseyin Sevim shared detailed information about the stem cell donation process.

According to evaluation forms completed before and after the seminar, a significant increase was observed in participants’ knowledge levels. This demonstrated that the seminar achieved its goal and helped students become more informed about the topic.

Key themes of the event included the importance of blood donation and how it is carried out, essential facts about stem cell donation, the medical significance of stem cell transplants, and raising public awareness about donation in general.

Aiming to contribute to public health, this meaningful initiative supported both individual and societal awareness. Through their dedicated efforts, the students not only contributed to the success of the project but also made a real impact on human lives.
