The seminar titled “AI-Supported Nursing Research and the Perspective of Clinical Innovation”, organized by the Social and Scientific Activities Commission of Acıbadem University Department of Nursing, was successfully held on February 27, 2025. The event highlighted the importance of technological transformation and innovative approaches in nursing.
The aim of the seminar was to introduce participants to the role of artificial intelligence in the field of healthcare, to evaluate its current applications, and to raise awareness about potential future developments. The significance of clinical innovation in nursing was also emphasized.
A total of 27 participants, including faculty members and academic staff from the Department of Nursing, attended the event. As the keynote speaker, Prof. Dr. Ata Akın from Acıbadem University’s Department of Biomedical Engineering shared recent developments in the field of artificial intelligence and health technologies. In his presentation titled “The Dance of Medicine and Technology,” he comprehensively discussed the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare, its applications, and its future prospects.
Prof. Dr. Akın answered questions from participants during an interactive presentation and shared his insights into the innovations brought about by digitalization in healthcare. Throughout the event, topics such as how artificial intelligence can be utilized in nursing research and how innovation can be supported in clinical practice were explored in detail.
This high-quality event was considered a significant step in supporting healthcare professionals’ adaptation to the digital transformation process.
