Pharmaceutical Technology

Pharmaceutical technology is a science field that conducts scientific and technological studies which are required for the designing of various pharmaceutical drug configurations and for their industrial productions and tests, by using natural, synthetic and semi-synthetic active and supplementary ingredients.

The mission of the department is to provide theoretical and practical training and education in pharmaceutical field, for all pharmacology students, to conduct scientific researches in this field and to train experts, scientists and academicians.

The vision of the department is to train pharmacists and scientists, who would be in demand for their knowledge and skillset in every field of pharmacology, especially in pharmaceutical industry and hospitals, by way of the training and education courses provided in English, also with our laboratories which are fully-equipped with current technology and scientific infrastructure and research opportunities.

Areas of Study:

Pharmaceutical technology, formulation of all types of drug configurations, analysis and selection of supplementary ingredients used in the formulas, their interactions with the active ingredients, development of new drug delivery systems, testing the specifications, stabilities and bioavailability characteristics of the developed formulas, development and testing modified drug delivery systems.
