Pharmacy Management

Acibadem University, Faculty of Pharmacy, Pharmacology Management Department, aims to educate students about vital subjects regarding professional practices of Pharmacology Management and Social Pharmacology. Various elective courses, such as “Channelling in Pharmacology”, “Psychology for Pharmacists”, “Communication for Pharmacists”, “Pharmacology Legislation and Pharmacology Management”, “Pharmacy Management”, “Pharmaceutical Industry Management” and such others are taught by this department’s academicians. The purpose of these courses are contributing to the training of new pharmacists with enough knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical and pharmacological processes (private pharmacy, hospital, pharmaceutical ındustry, drug and pharmacology official authorities) such as management, administration, finance, service period management, quality assurance, decision making and etc. Department also plays an active rol in arranging internship opportunities, internship process management and internship scope management fields, to prepare these pharmacists of the future, in accordance with global criterias. Pharmacology Management Department is actively involved in all education processes which are designated as “applied and social pharmacology” in developed countries and cooperatively conducts education and research activities with other departments. After graduation, Pharmacology Management also particiapates in the activities taught in undergraduate courses as part of Life Long Learning (LLL) studies, in order to keep up with and contribute to the social development of the profession. Department, which is a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary field just like many other academic disciplines today, aims to prepare graduates for the real hands-on career life.

Our department reinforces our faculty’s goals towards the profession and the future with its full-time academicians in Pharmacology Management and Social Antropolgy fields, which are rare areas of study in other pharmacology faculties.
