PROGRAM AIM
The Undergraduate Medical Education Program of Acıbadem University School of Medicine is a six-year integrated process designed to educate physicians who are grounded in scientific principles, patient- and community-oriented, integrated with ethical values, possess strong communication skills, and embrace lifelong learning. The program is designed in line with the national core curriculum and international strategic documents, based on interdisciplinary integration, innovative educational approaches, and a sense of social responsibility.
During the educational process, student-centered, integrated, and evidence-based approaches; the principle of social accountability and a culture of scientific research are taken as fundamental. Within this framework, supported by early clinical experience and community-based practices, it is aimed that students actively participate in their learning processes, take responsibility for their own academic and professional development, and acquire research and inquiry skills. Thus, students are trained not only as competent clinicians but also as individuals who think critically, conduct research, and have a high awareness of society’s health priorities. The education program is carried out in alignment with national and international standards, with an understanding of quality assurance and continuous improvement.
PROGRAM COMPETENCIES
Our program competencies, designed to educate the physicians of the future, are continuously improved in line with current healthcare needs, scientific advancements, and national/international standards. With the 2025 Program Renewal Project, our competencies have been restructured and strengthened with the contributions of all stakeholders. The number of program competencies has been increased from 26 to 34, establishing a comprehensive and contemporary framework that encompasses not only clinical competencies but also communication, professionalism, scientific thinking, and social responsibility.
