The aim of Opticianry Program is to raise health technicians who are able to choose optic devices, prepare them in the specified standards and ensure the adaptation of the patient, as prescribed by

ophthalmologists for eliminating or alleviating visual disturbances of the patients with refractor defect.

The program has a 2-year education period and the education language is Turkish.

Within the program, students are given practical basic skills training in the Opticianry Laboratory equipped with modern machinery and devices as well as theoretical education. In addition, students are given training in the applications they will encounter in post-graduate work fields and business training.

Students gain experience in practice by performing compulsory summer internships for 25 days at optical stores at the end of the first year. In addition to the practices in Opticianry Laboratory in

the second year of the program, there are hospital practices in the program where students can work individually with ophthalmologists at the Eye Polyclinics of Acıbadem Healthcare Group hospitals.
