Application Requirements
Active students continuing their education in the Faculty of Medicine are eligible for admission to the MD-PhD program. The conditions required for admission to the program are as follows:
The candidate must rank within the top 5000 in the relevant score type of the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) Field Proficiency Test, which is the basis for admission to the Faculty of Medicine.
Candidates must obtain at least 80 points from centrally administered foreign language exams accepted by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), or an equivalent score from international foreign language exams recognized by ÖSYM, or at least 75 out of 100 from the faculty’s preparatory class foreign language proficiency exam.
The candidate’s cumulative grade point average in the first and second years of medical school must be at least 3.5 out of 4.0.
Candidates must score at least 80 points in the Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Exam (ALES).
Students enrolled in double major or minor programs are not eligible to apply.
