DGS – Vertical Transfer Examination

The Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) is an examination administered by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) to enable graduates of vocational schools and open education associate degree programs to transfer to undergraduate degree programs.

DGS Registration Schedule

1. E-Registration (Online Registration via e-Government)

Registration Dates: September 14–16, 2026

Students who complete their registration via e-Government are not required to visit the university in person to submit any documents.

2. In-Person Registration (Registration by Visiting Our University Campus in Person)

Registration Dates: September 14–18, 2026

Registration Hours: 09:00–17:00 (Every weekday)

Registration Location: Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University, Kerem Aydınlar Campus, Kayışdağı Cad. No:32, Ataşehir / Istanbul
              

* To complete your registration through either method, you must first complete your pre-registration at https://obs.acibadem.edu.tr/oibs/ogrsis/ogr_on_kayit_op.aspx. Please note that completing the pre-registration process does not mean that your final registration has been completed.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR REGISTRATION

• Students who are eligible to enroll in the undergraduate programs at Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University are required to prepare the following documents for university registration.

Students who register via the E-Registration method must submit the documents listed below to our office during the registration period.

• Diploma 
  - The original associate degree diploma or the original temporary graduation certificate of the applicant.         
   (A Certificate of Achievement cannot be accepted as a substitute for a graduation certificate.)
  - Original High School Diploma
• 2 Copies of the Transcript (Officially Stamped or Electronically Signed)
• 2 Copies of Detailed Course Descriptions (Officially Stamped or Electronically Signed)
• Examination Results Document
  Please bring a printed copy of your DGS examination results and placement results, which can be obtained from the official DGS website.

• Identification Documents
  The original national identity card and one photocopy to be submitted to the Student Affairs Directorate during registration. The photocopy must show both the front and back of the identity card on the same side of an A4 sheet.

  If required for submission to the Financial Affairs Directorate and the Dormitory Directorate, please bring two additional photocopies.

  Please ensure that you bring all required photocopies with you.

• Military Service Procedures
  Military Status Certificate for male applicants (can be obtained online via e-Government).
• Photographs
  3 photographs taken within the last six months. Applicants must write their full names on the back of each photograph. (Color photocopies are not accepted.)
• Payment Receipt
  Bank receipt confirming payment of the tuition fee (except for students receiving a full scholarship).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Applicants who fail to complete their final registration within the specified dates will not be entitled to claim any rights.

COURSE EXEMPTIONS AND ACADEMIC PROCEDURES

The following documents are required for the application:
- Petition
- Officially Stamped or Electronically Signed Transcript from the Associate Degree Program from Which the Student Graduated
- Officially Stamped Course Descriptions from the Associate Degree Program from Which the Student Graduated
 

Students who enroll at our University through the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) will be placed in the third year of undergraduate programs taught in Turkish.

For programs taught in English, students are required to take the English Proficiency and Placement Test (ACEPT). Students who successfully pass the examination will be placed in the third year. Information regarding examination dates will be provided by the Preparatory Program Coordinator of the Department of Foreign Languages.

The number of semesters required for students to graduate, as well as which previously completed courses will be recognized for credit transfer or exemption, will be determined by the relevant academic committees after reviewing students' transcripts and course descriptions and establishing the courses they are required to complete.
