For sustainable future, we raised the temperature of our freezers from -80 °C to -70 °C, demonstrating how a 10 °C difference can make a substantial impact.
With daily energy savings of 485.5 kWh, we ranked 12th among 112 academic institutions. According to 2025 Freezer Challenge data, we are making a significant difference through small changes:
- 286 institutions from 29 countries
- 3,848 laboratories
- Total global energy savings of 86,462.20 kWh/day
We recognize that even a modest temperature adjustment can contribute meaningfully to energy conservation and environmental impact.
