Our Students Organized a Tree Planting Event for a Sustainable Future

A tree planting event was organized within the scope of the European Union Solidarity Program ESC30 project titled “ACU Youth – Reducing Carbon Footprint Project,” led by our students under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Günay Yetik Anacak, a faculty member of the Department of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Pharmacy, with the participation of Acıbadem University students and in cooperation with the Regional Directorate of Forestry. Faculty members Yasemin Uzuner and Fatma Akgün also took an active role in the organization.

The event, implemented with the support of our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. İrfan Güney, was made accessible through transportation provided in cooperation with the Ataşehir Municipality. As part of the event, our students from various departments actively participated in tree planting activities to contribute to nature. Thus, a meaningful collaborative effort based on volunteerism, solidarity, and environmental responsibility was achieved.

This event stood out not only as an environmental activity but also as a practical awareness initiative that contributed to our students’ internalization of sustainability principles and strengthened their sense of environmental responsibility.
