Undiagnosed Hackathon

The first worldwide "Undiagnosed Hackathon", co-organized by Karolinska University's Undiagnosed Diseases Programme (UDP), PhenoTips, and the Wilhelm Foundation, brought together nearly 100 global experts in genetics and bioinformatics at Karolinska University Hospital in Sweden to tackle undiagnosed and complex cases. The Undiagnosed Hackathon held on 17 - 18 June 2023, 14 undiagnosed patients from several countries, including Sweden, Turkey, and Pakistan, nominated by clinician members of the Undiagnosed Diseases Network International (UDNI) were discussed. On behalf of ACURARE, Acibadem University Medical Genetics Department and Paediatric Genetics Department faculty members attended the event which was widely covered in the Swedish press.
