Scholarship Support for Our Graduate Student in Biomaterials Program

Our student Bariscan Uzunkaya, enrolled in the Biomaterials Master's Program at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences of our university under the supervision of Prof. Vasıf Nejat Hasırcı and Prof. Halime Kenar from the Department of Biomedical Engineering, has been granted the opportunity to pursue a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering in the 2023-2024 Academic Year Doctoral Scholarship program by the Turkish Fulbright Education Commission. He will be conducting his doctoral studies at Rice University in Houston, USA. During his doctoral education, Bariscan Uzunkaya aims to explore defects in congenital heart diseases from a biomolecular engineering perspective. The Fulbright Doctoral Dissertation Research Scholarship provides research opportunities for doctoral students in various fields from around the world, including Turkey, to work as visiting student researchers (VSR) at universities in the United States for one year.

We congratulate our student and wish him continued success.
