Professional Solidarity and Inclination Key Handover Ceremony by the Orthopedic Prosthetics and Orthotics Program

The Handover Ceremony of the Orthopedic Prosthetics and Orthotics Program's Professional Solidarity and Inclination Key took place on June 15, 2023, in a hybrid format, organized by the Acibadem University Orthopedic Prosthetics and Orthotics Program. The event kicked off with a speech by Erkan Evrendilek, the Consultant of the Orthopedic Prosthetics and Orthotics Program. The program then continued with speeches from the Deputy Director of SHMYO (School of Health Sciences), the Department Chair, the President of OPODER (Orthopedic Prosthetics and Orthotists Association), as well as representatives from the Prosthetics and Orthotics Production and Application Center (POYUM). The event saw the participation of around 100 individuals, including representatives from both local and international companies such as OttoBock, Ossur, Proten, Biyoaktif, Kifidis, Bionest, Proted, and professionals in the field of Prosthetics and Orthotics.

During the event, gratitude was expressed to the officials of the Prosthetics and Orthotics Production and Application Center for their support to the students, providing them with opportunities to share their professional experiences, and offering summer internships and on-site application lessons. As part of the orthopedic technique's tradition, the inclination key, a specialized hand tool used to impart high-quality knowledge and master the craft, was handed over to the graduating students by  industry professionals.
