The 'HIV/AIDS Awareness Event,' organized by the Nursing Department of Acıbadem University and the Turkish Family Health and Planning Foundation, took place on December 28, 2023. Nurse Nurşen Kanbur, a Sexual Health and Reproductive Health Educator, conducted a presentation titled 'HIV & Safe Sexuality in a Societal Gender Perspective' with the aim of increasing university students' awareness about HIV/AIDS and providing information about sexually transmitted diseases. The event, attended by a total of 260 individuals, addressed questions such as 'What are HIV and AIDS?', 'What are the transmission routes of sexually transmitted diseases?', and 'What are the prevention methods for sexually transmitted diseases?'. As part of the event, fourth-year students of the Nursing Department set up a booth with the slogan 'Protect, Prevent, Win'. The booth distributed brochures, badges, red ribbons, and bracelets to attract students' attention. The interactive presentation included answering questions from the participants.
