As part of the events organized by Acıbadem University for the 100th anniversary of our Republic, a concert, exhibition, and reception were held on November 20, 2023. The foyer hosted an exhibition featuring rare photographs of Atatürk, creating emotional moments for university staff and students in attendance. Following the well-received exhibition, attendees were treated to food and drinks before the concert. The musicians in the concert included Berk Özbek, a tenor from the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet, and Assoc. Prof. Tuğçem Aslan Kar, a soprano from the ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory. They were accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Alper Akgül from Kocaeli University on the piano, Dr. Mehmet Ali Açıksöz on the trumpet, Cüneyt Saka on the bass, and Recep Kaan Kar on the guitar. The concert, featuring a repertoire spanning from world music to Turkish music and including many classics beloved by Atatürk, concluded with patriotic songs sung by all of us.
