Student Visa
International students may be subject to visa requirements depending on their nationality and bilateral agreements between countries.
Students from countries subject to visa requirements must apply for a student visa at the nearest Turkish Embassy or Consulate using the acceptance and visa letter issued by Acıbadem University.

Residence Permit Procedures
After completing their university enrollment, international students must apply for a student residence permit within one month of entering Turkey.
Student residence permit applications are submitted by a staff member from Acıbadem University’s International Office in accordance with a protocol with the Directorate General of Migration Management.
Students applying for a residence permit are responsible for preparing the required documents and submitting them to the International Office within the specified dates. All documents submitted for the residence permit application must be in Turkish. Original documents in other languages must be accompanied by a certified Turkish translation.
Required Documents for Student Residence Permit Application
Application Form: Must be completed and signed via the e-Ikamet. Students may seek assistance from the International Office for completing the form.
Passport: The passport must be valid for at least six months at the time of application. If the student entered Turkey with an e-visa, a copy of the e-visa must also be submitted.
Four (4) Biometric Photos: Taken within the last six months, with a white background.
Student Certificate: Must be issued by the Registrar’s Office and dated no earlier than 10 days before the application date.
Health Insurance: Students without valid health insurance must apply for the General Health Insurance within three months of registration. Those who wish to obtain private health insurance can consult the International Office.
Proof of Address: Students staying in university dormitories must obtain a signed document from the dormitory director. Students living in private accommodation must submit a rental contract.
Payment Receipt for Residence Permit Fee: Payment can be made via the interactive tax office or through authorized banks. Bank receipts must be stamped and signed.
Additional Documents for Applicants Under the Age of 18
Parental Consent Letter (Muvafakatname): An official document issued by the relevant authorities in the student’s home country, stating that the parents permit their child to study and live in Turkey.
Birth Certificate: An official document showing the names of the student’s parents.
* Both the Parental Consent Letter and the Birth Certificate must be apostilled. Originals and notarized Turkish translations must be submitted together.
