The Department of Medical Education was originally established on a smaller scale at the School of Medicine at Acıbadem University in 2010.
The scope of this branch of the School of Medicine expanded thus creating the Department in 2015.
The main aim of the Department of Medical Education at Acıbadem University is to improve the quality of medical education and to contribute to the development of medical education in each specialist field.
The basic functions and duties of the Department of Medical Education of the School of Medicine can be summarized as follows: to generate knowledge/proof in the field of medical education, to train specialists in medical education, to provide medical education consultancy to the Faculty of Medicine, to contribute to the teaching design of the Faculty of Medicine, to monitor modern advances in medical education and to support their application to the curriculum, to contribute to the evaluation of the medical education program, to contribute to the development of instructors in the Faculty of Medicine, and to organize national and international scientific conferences in the field of medical education.
