Physiology

The Department of Physiology was founded in 2009 and has highly qualified academic staff members who teach physiology at the Department of Physiology of the School of Medicine, the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Vocational School of Health Services.

Additionally, the department is responsible for preparing and teaching the physiology course content to 1st, 2nd and 3rd year undergraduates at the School of Medicine. In addition to the Master's program in physiology, other graduate programs which are available in the Institute of Health Sciences are also supported by Department of Physiology faculty members. The department has organized various scientific conferences since 2010 within the field of interest of the School of Medicine. The scientific activities of the department are determined by the interests of the staff highlighting neurophysiology, experimental animal models, experimental epilepsy models, cognitive electrophysiology, potentials, the physiology of the gastrointestinal system and GIS peptides, experimental diabetes models, and inflammation issues. In addition to education and research, the faculty members of the department also undertake many administrative tasks.
