For those applying to the PhD program with a bachelor's degree; Graduates of the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Genetics and Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, Genetics and Bioengineering, Medical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Arts and Sciences Department of Biology, Department of Medical Biology, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Biotechnology departments must submit a transcript or document proof that they will be able to graduate by the registration period. 
For those applying with a master's degree; Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Genetics and Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, Genetics and Bioengineering, Medical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Arts and Sciences Department of Biology, Department of Medical Biology, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Biotechnology, Molecular and Translational Medicine, Biostatistics and Bioinformatics, and graduates of master's programs in Biological Data Science.
Note: Applications from outside these departments will be accepted from individuals who meet the conditions deemed appropriate by the Department Board.
Nature of the Program​Full-Time Education
Fee​​International: 12,000 USD (, VAT included program fee)
Tuition Fee ExemptionEvaluation for tuition scholarships is carried out during admission to the program. The status of students to be granted scholarships is determined by the Rectorate based on their academic background and the recommendation of the Interview Jury, and as a result of this evaluation, a tuition scholarship of 100% or 50% may be granted.

Language Proficiency

For those applying to the PhD program with a bachelor's degree; 

  • Among the foreign language exams accepted by the Council of Higher Education;
  • TOEFL-IBT minimum score of 84
  • YDS/ÜDS/KPDS/YÖKDİL minimum score of 70

For those applying with a master's degree; 

  • Among the foreign language exams accepted by the Council of Higher Education;
  • TOEFL-IBT minimum score of 78
  • YDS/ÜDS/KPDS/YÖKDİL minimum score of 65

Academic Proficiency

For graduate education, at least a valid minimum score must be obtained from one of the exams specified below (result documents must be valid until the application date)

For those applying to the PhD program with a bachelor's degree:

  • A minimum overall graduation GPA of 3.0/4.0 from the bachelor's program
  • A minimum quantitative score of 80 in the Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Exam (ALES).
  • For international students, a minimum GRE score of 152 or a minimum GMAT score of 590 is required.

For those applying with a master's degree:

  • A minimum quantitative score of 60 in the Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Exam (ALES).
  • For international students, a minimum GRE score of 150 or a minimum GMAT score of 465 is required.

ALES is not required for graduates of doctorate / proficiency in art / medical specialty / dental specialty / veterinary specialty / pharmacy specialty programs. The score of 65, determined by the Senate of Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University regardless of the score type or specialty area at entry to the graduate program from which they graduated, is taken into account.

Documents Required for Program Applications;

  • Application form
  • Original of the document (transcript) showing the bachelor's and, if applicable, master's courses and grades obtained from the higher education institutions from which the applicant graduated
  • Original of the bachelor's and, if applicable, master's diploma or Certificate of Provisional Graduation (a certified photocopy will be made during registration.) (Diplomas obtained from foreign countries must have their equivalence approved by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).)
  • Letter of Interest
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Reference Letter (two copies) (must be sent in a sealed envelope to the Department Chair or emailed, signed by the person writing the reference letter, to kaya.bilguvar@acibadem.edu.tr) (Registration will not be accepted if Reference Letters are not submitted at the Interview Exam.)
  • Photocopy of ID card / Photocopy of Passport
  • ALES (Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Exam) result document
  • Foreign Language Proficiency Document 
  • 1 passport-style photograph
  • Military Service Document for Male Candidates
