Acıbadem Üniversitesi Hemşirelik Yüksek Lisans Programlarının amacı, artan ve değişen bakım talebini karşılayabilecek bilgi ve beceriye sahip, bilimsel araştırma yapabilen, bilgiye ulaşabilen ve hemşirelik alanındaki bilgilerini uzmanlık alanında beceriye dönüştürebilen, çağdaş bilgi ve beceri donanımına, yaratıcı ve eleştirel düşünebilme becerisine sahip, kanıt temelli bakım sunabilen bilim uzmanı yetiştirmektir. Hemşirelik Yüksek Lisans programları; Acil hemşireliği, Cerrahi Hastalıklar Hemşireliği, Dahili Hastalıklar Hemşireliği, Yoğun Bakım Hemşireliği alanlarında eğitim vermektedir.

The purpose of this program is to provide the necessary theoretical knowledge and skillset in emergency care. The program includes theoretical concepts, legal and ethical issues and alternative treatments; so, in this regard, the aim of the program is to educate specialized nurses following scientific developments and innovations and applying them in their scientific and professional lives, who are science experts and researchers, for internal and surgical nursing, pediatric emergency nursing, geriatric nursing, grief counseling, case management, nursing management, intensive care nursing, emergency/trauma nursing.

The program includes certain concepts and theories related to emergency care, physiology/physiopathology in internal acute and chronic diseases, evaluation of the patient in the relevant fields all along the life time and evidence-based care.The duration of Emergency Nursing Graduation Program with thesis is 4 semesters (2 years). The first year consists of theoretical courses and the second year consists of thesis work. The minimum number of national credit requirement for graduation is 21.

The following reasons have increased the necessity of nurses in surgical diesases department: Global and national increase in number of elderly people and increase in necessity of more surgical treatments in this age group and existence of comorbidities in elderly surgical patients and accordingly the increase in elderly surgical patients’ necessity for professional health care; Individuals’ increased awarenes in health field; Increase in expectations from health care professionals; Patient satisfaction’s being the most important indicator for a health institution’s quality.

The purpose of this program is to educate specialized nurses with following traits: Who possess the knowledge and the skillset to supply the demand for increasing and changing healthcare in surgical sciences; who can conduct scientific research; who can obtain and utilize the information for the benefit of the patient; and also, who can provide evidence-based care in surgical field. The program includes pre-operative, operative and post-operative patient evaluation, determination and reduction of possible risks, evidence-based care practices and prevention of surgical complications.

The duration of Surgical Nursing Graduation Program with thesis is 4 semesters (2 years). The first year consists of theoretical courses and the second year consists of thesis work. The minimum number of national credit requirement for graduation is 21.

The purpose of this program is to educate specialized nurses following scientific developments and innovations and applying them in their scientific and professional lives, who are science experts and researchers, for the prevention, treatment, care and rehabilitation of acute and chronic internal diseases such as heart diseases, cancer, diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, tuberculosis and renal insufficiency, which are at the top of global and national lists, in terms of morbidity and mortality rate.

The program includes concepts and theories related to care, physiology/physiopathology in internal acute and chronic diseases, evaluation of the patient in the relevant fields and evidence-based care.

The duration of Internal Diseases Nursing Graduation Program with thesis is 4 semesters (2 years). The first year consists of theoretical courses and the second year consists of thesis work. The minimum number of national credit requirement for graduation is 21.

The prolongation of the average life span increases the number of individuals with chronic diseases and the necessity for intensive care of these individuals. In addition, the necessity of close follow-up of surgically treated individuals with complicated health problems after lenghty surgical procedures and the necessity of long-time monitorization of the patients in intensive care units present the need for specialist nurses in intensive care departments. Albeit vast knowledge and the existence and utilization of advanced technology in intensive care, ‘Intensive Care Nursing’ Graduate Program is first and pioneer to provide specialization opportunity for Nurses in one-on-one patient care, 24 hour follow-up and to be the first to respond for life-saving intervention in case of any abormal situation.

The program includes pre-operative, operative and post-operative patient evaluation and evidence-based care practices, prevention of surgical complications and monitoring of internal acute or chronic diseases in intensive care units.
