TÜBİTAK 2237-A Project Writing Training Held at Acıbadem University

Acıbadem University hosted the “Scientific Research Project Proposal Writing and Career Development Training for Undergraduate Students in Health Sciences” within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 2237-A Scientific Education Activities Support Program. The training program was held between January 30 and February 1, 2026, under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Günay Yetik Anacak.

The program brought together 24 undergraduate students selected from various universities across Türkiye. Throughout the training, participants gained comprehensive knowledge on scientific research methods, the project writing process, literature review techniques, and career planning. The program also covered topics such as formulating research questions and hypotheses, reading and critically evaluating scientific articles, reference management, and key points to consider when preparing an effective CV.

The training sessions were conducted at the Faculty of Pharmacy of Acıbadem University and related practice classrooms through a combination of theoretical lectures and interactive sessions. During the afternoon sessions, students were divided into project groups and worked on TÜBİTAK 2209-A/B project proposal forms under the guidance of the instructors. At the end of the third day, each group presented their projects to a jury and received detailed feedback.

Training Delivered by Distinguished Academics

The program was carried out with the contributions of distinguished academics from leading universities in Türkiye. The training staff included Prof. Dr. Günay Yetik Anacak (Acıbadem University, Faculty of Pharmacy), Prof. Dr. A. Tuncay Demiryürek (Gaziantep University, Faculty of Medicine), Prof. Dr. Engin Şahna and Prof. Dr. Nergiz Durmuş Sütpideler (Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Medicine), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bilge Güvenç Tuna (Yeditepe University, Faculty of Medicine), Prof. Dr. Z. Tanıl Kocagöz (Acıbadem University, Faculty of Medicine), Prof. Dr. Meltem Müftüoğlu (Acıbadem University, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gülen Melike Demirbolat (Acıbadem University, Faculty of Pharmacy).

In addition, Maşallah Akiba, a student from the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Acıbadem University, contributed to the program by providing assistance during the local organization process.

Environmentally Friendly Event Model

Environmental awareness was prioritized throughout the event. An eco-friendly event model aimed at reducing the carbon footprint was implemented by avoiding the use of plastic cups, plates, and plastic name badges.
