Simulation Applications in Nursing Education Workshop Held

The "Simulation Applications in Nursing Education Workshop," organized by the Department of Nursing at Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University, Faculty of Health Sciences, was conducted over a three-day educational program.

On the first day of the workshop, participants were introduced to the Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice™, simulation design, debriefing processes, and simulation evaluation through theoretical sessions. On the second day, participants had the opportunity to experience technology-enhanced learning environments through demonstrations of CASE applications as well as virtual simulation platforms such as Body Interact, Virtual Reality, and 3D MedSiM. During the same day, sessions focusing on scenario debriefing and activities aimed at improving scenario-writing skills were also conducted.

On the final day of the workshop, participants had the opportunity to develop their own simulation scenarios under the guidance of faculty members, revise them based on expert feedback, and conduct pilot implementations. The program concluded with feedback sessions, experience-sharing activities, and a final evaluation.

The workshop provided important contributions to the dissemination of simulation-based teaching methods in nursing education and to the enhancement of educators' knowledge and competencies in this field.
