“Scoliosis Warriors” Gathered at Acıbadem University

On June 18, our university hosted a meaningful event as part of Scoliosis Awareness Month. Held under the slogan “Scoliosis Warriors Shoulder to Shoulder, Fearlessly”, the event brought together individuals battling scoliosis, healthcare professionals, and members of the community.

The event was organized with the contributions of Prof. Dr. Ahmet Alanay, faculty member of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at our university. With over 350 participants in attendance, Prof. Dr. Alanay delivered a presentation emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis and modern treatment approaches in scoliosis.

In the second part of the program, a panel moderated by Ms. Seral Çelik featured scoliosis warriors Duru Ada, her mother Aysun Alp, Gül Erden, and rising music artist Melis Fis, who each shared their powerful and personal journeys. The event concluded with a musical performance by Melis Fis, adding a vibrant and emotional touch to the program.
