Scientific Project Processes and Funding Opportunities Training of Trainers Program Held

The “Scientific Project Processes and Funding Opportunities – Training of Trainers Program” was held on April 9, 2026, at Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University, bringing together academic staff to enhance their knowledge and competencies in project development and funding opportunities.

Organized through the collaboration of the Nursing Department Social and Scientific Activities Commission and the Technology Transfer Office, the program aimed to strengthen academic project processes, promote a discipline-specific project development culture, and raise awareness about access to internal, national, and international funding resources.

Throughout the training, participants were introduced to the fundamental stages of scientific project development, from planning to application and implementation. The program also provided comprehensive insights into internal university research support mechanisms, as well as national and international funding sources and support programs.

Key topics included intellectual property rights, management of invention processes, and commercialization strategies. In addition, the biodesign approach was highlighted as a framework for innovative idea development, emphasizing the importance of sustainability and transforming project outputs into societal benefits. Practice-based examples and project applications specific to the field of nursing were also shared.

The training was delivered by experts from the Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University Technology Transfer Office, including Eda Tanoğlu, Yağmur Kökçü, Cansu Akın Levi, Aydın Barış Şimşir, and Ayşe Güler.

With the participation of 21 attendees, the program concluded with a Q&A session and an interactive discussion, allowing participants to exchange ideas and experiences. The program is expected to contribute to increased academic productivity and the strengthening of an interdisciplinary project culture.
