Prof. Abdurrahman Coşkun, a faculty member of the Department of Medical Biochemistry at Acıbadem University School of Medicine, has been awarded the EFLM Award for Excellence in Outcomes Research in Laboratory Medicine by the European Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (EFLM).
Presented every two years, this prestigious award honors research that directly impacts patient outcomes in laboratory medicine. The award-winning study by Prof. Abdurrahman Coşkun and his team provides a groundbreaking solution to one of the fundamental challenges in clinical laboratories: determining reference intervals. Their innovative method, published in Clinical Chemistry, one of the most esteemed journals in clinical biochemistry, offers a significant contribution to the scientific community.
The award will be presented during the EuroMedLab Congress, which will be held in Brussels from May 18-22, 2025. EuroMedLab is one of the world's most important scientific events in clinical chemistry and laboratory medicine, bringing together academics and experts on an international platform.
