Payda Science Camp, Hosted by Our University, Introduced Young Minds to Science

Hosted and sponsored by our university, the 3rd Payda Science Camp was organized by PAYDA (https://www.paydaplatformu.org), a Sharing and Solidarity Association that provides educational support to students in need. 

The event was also supported by the Civil Society Support Foundation and the Turkish Mozaik Foundation. During the camp, students had the opportunity to take various theoretical courses and laboratory practice within the Acıbadem University Faculty of Medicine. 

Academic content was supplemented by career talks with representatives from various professional groups. The students participating in the program were accompanied by three accompanying teachers and six PAYDA volunteers. Throughout the camp, the students stayed in student guest house on our university's Ataşehir campus in Istanbul. 

Participants had the opportunity to explore Istanbul's historical and cultural places through social and cultural events by experiential learning-based content. Through workshops in fields such as astronomy, chemistry, biotechnology, and life sciences, students learned while having fun and experienced the importance of teamwork. The camp's goal was to foster curiosity and discovery, encourage scientific thinking, and unleash young people's creative potential. With the slogan "Curious minds embarked on a journey of invention," PAYDA Science Camp offered young people an unforgettable learning and development experience.
