Our university participated in the “International Student Congress on Migration Dream in Higher Education,” organized by İstanbul Aydın University on May 12–13, 2026, with student presentations and academic contributions.
At the congress, which addressed the academic, social, and political dimensions of student mobility in higher education, the reasons why national students tend to pursue education abroad and the motivations of international students for choosing Türkiye were evaluated from a multidimensional perspective. The congress also aimed to discuss the effects of global student mobility on higher education systems and to develop strategic recommendations for improving quality in higher education based on student experiences.
On the first day of the congress, Nurana Vepakulyyeva, a second-year student in the Department of Nursing at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University, presented her paper titled “Studentship Beyond Borders: The Adaptation Experience of an International Nursing Student in the Process of Educational Migration,” prepared under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Merve Coşkun and Lecturer Eslem Altıntaş. The presentation took place in the first session program held on May 12, 2026.
On the second day of the congress, Lecturer Selçuk Marangoz, Director of Health, Culture and Sports at Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University, and Prof. Dr. Gülfer Bektaş presented their paper titled “Building Campus Culture: University Life Integrated with Student Clubs.” The presentation addressed the role of student clubs in university life, sense of belonging, and the development of campus culture.
On the same day, Dunia Aivazova, a second-year student in the Department of Health Management at Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University, participated in the congress with her paper titled “Türkiye: Migration Dreams and Realities,” prepared under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ayça Kurtoğlu from the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The presentation evaluated migration experiences within the scope of educational migration and student mobility toward Türkiye.
Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University was actively represented at the congress by its students and academic advisors, who contributed scientifically to the fields of internationalization in higher education, student experience, campus life, and educational migration.
