Our University Academicians’ Joint Invention Was Granted a Patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)

A joint invention by Dr. Gamze Tümentemur Öztürk, faculty member at the Vocational School of Health Services, Acıbadem University, and Prof. Ercüment Ovalı was registered by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on April 21, 2026 (Patent No: US 12,605,408 B2).

The invention, filed jointly by Acıbadem University, Prof. Ercüment Ovalı, and Acıbadem Labmed Sağlık Hizmetleri A.Ş., pertains to a method for producing a biological product developed for the purposes of immune modulation and tissue regeneration in conditions including hair loss, alopecia areata, androgenetic alopecia, scar tissue formation, and neurodegenerative and inflammatory diseases.
