The opening ceremony for the 2023-2024 Academic Year at our university took place on October 24, 2023, in our conference hall. The event began with a moment of silence and the national anthem, followed by a film and music performance prepared to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of our Republic. Our university's Climate Ambassador, Ozdeyis Hulya Isgordu, also addressed the new students this year. In his speech, our Rector, Prof. Ahmet Sahin, discussed the university's developments and goals, expressing his excitement about the new students joining us. During the ceremony, grantors who contributed to our university's Scholarship Fund were presented with plaques and thank-you certificates by the Chairman of our Board of Trustees, Mehmet Ali Aydınlar, the President of the Kerem Aydınlar Foundation, Seher Aydınlar, and our Rector, Prof. Ahmet Sahin. Additionally, Prof. Ahmet Sahin, presented thank-you plaques to the academic and administrative staff who had completed their 10th working year at our university. The traditional opening lecture, a part of our opening ceremonies, was delivered this year by Prof. Mikdat Kadıoğlu, a faculty member at Istanbul Technical University, who shared his presentation on "Global Climate Change" with the participants. After the presentation, a thank-you certificate was presented to Prof. Kadıoğlu by our Rector.
