Future Software Developers Gathered at the CodeHub Student Software Summit

On March 15, 2025, the CodeHub Student Software Summit, organized by the Computer Engineering Department of Acıbadem University, brought together students interested in the world of technology and software with professionals from the industry. Sponsored by Acıbadem Technology and Sisal Digital Hub Türkiye, the summit addressed key topics such as cybersecurity, data science, web development, and game development.

The summit attracted the interest of more than 200 participants. The opening speech was delivered by Tanzer Özdil, Deputy CEO of Acıbadem Technology. Sharing his experiences and inspiring students, Özdil was followed by leading figures from the sector who took the stage.

Burak Korkmaz (Sisal Digital Hub Türkiye), in his talk titled “Career in Software,” shared current trends in the software world and valuable career tips with participants. Serdar Gunizi (Çelebi Aviation Holding), in his “Career in IT” presentation, offered insights from his personal career journey to inspire young people aiming to build a future in the tech industry.

Cybersecurity expert Beytul Kocakaplan provided insight into his career path and the future of the field. Former police officer Burak Çağlayan delivered a compelling presentation titled “From Policing to Frontend,” where he shared his career transition story and experiences in web development.

Zeynep Küçük (Ford Otosan) shared her knowledge on data science, discussing the future of the field and how she shaped her own career.

Additionally, a panel session titled “New Trends in the Software World” was held with Abdullah Tekeli, Servet Badem, and Cemal Başar from Acıbadem Technology. The panel offered up-to-date insights into machine learning, software operations, and next-generation software applications.

One of the most notable parts of the summit was the Sisal PlayNext Workshop. In this hands-on workshop, participants had the opportunity to experience the game design process, learning both the design and coding stages. At the end of the workshop, the games developed were played, and a prize was awarded to the winning participant.

Throughout the event, participants engaged in one-on-one interactions with industry professionals, gaining valuable knowledge and expanding their professional networks.
