Faculty of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Organized “Breathe Easier with MS” Event

Acıbadem University Faculty of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation organized the online event “Breathe Easier with MS: Respiratory Issues and Physiotherapy Approaches” on December 4, 2025, in collaboration with the İzmir MS Association. The event, presented by Prof. Dr. Sema Savcı, aimed to raise awareness about the early recognition of respiratory problems and physiotherapy approaches in individuals with MS.

The program was attended by 10 people with MS, who expressed that they found the event highly beneficial and requested a repeat of the training. Third-year students from ACU Faculty of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Zahide Bal and Zehra Miçoğulları, played an active role in preparing presentation slides, organizing exercise visuals, and managing the technical flow of the session.

The one-hour session was conducted in an interactive format, providing participants with direct experience and knowledge. The event, supporting public health, also contributed to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being.
