The Department of Nursing Conducted the Clinical Guide Nurse Training Program

The “Clinical Guide Nurse Training Program,” organized by the Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing at our University, was held between January 29 and February 4, 2026. A total of 84 participants attended the program, bringing together nursing faculty members, charge nurses, education nurses, and clinical instructors.

The main objective of the program was to enhance participants’ knowledge, attitudes, and skills in guiding students in clinical settings, as well as to strengthen a standardized and holistic approach to the clinical education process.

Within the scope of the training program, topics included the accreditation process and program introduction; clinical guidance standards in nursing education and the roles and responsibilities of guide nurses; creating positive learning environments in clinical settings; clinical expectations according to class levels; effective communication in clinical education; approaches to students who require support or experience academic failure; collaboration between clinical guide nurses and faculty members; and holistic care approaches, along with clinical evaluation and structured feedback processes.

The training sessions, planned for nurses who guide students during clinical practice in Acıbadem Healthcare Group hospitals, were conducted as one-day programs both within Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University and at Acıbadem Healthcare Group Maslak Hospital.

In addition, sessions titled “Being a Student in the Clinic” and “Experience Sharing” were held. These sessions, where student nurses and clinical guide nurses shared their experiences, contributed to strengthening professional awareness by increasing mutual interaction.

The training sessions, delivered by the academic staff of the Department of Nursing at Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University, were completed with positive feedback from participants. The program was considered an important step toward improving the quality of clinical education and strengthening guidance processes.
