On January 29–30, 2026, Prof. Yasemin Alanay, Assoc. Prof. Özlem Akgün Doğan and Assoc. Prof. Saygın Abalı represented our center at the First Central & Eastern European Bone Board (CEEBB) Meeting in Vienna.
Prof. Alanay delivered her lecture titled “Real-World Evidence on Vosoritide Therapy in Achondroplasia” and co-chaired the session on skeletal dysplasias, emphasizing the importance of multidisciplinary care in rare bone diseases.
Throughout the meeting, rare bone disorders; including osteogenesis imperfecta, achondroplasia, rickets, HPP, and bone–kidney axis disorders, were discussed from endocrinology, orthopedics, genetics, and nephrology perspectives.
In addition, our team presented the ACURARE Achondroplasia Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) model and its structured collaborative approach in a dedicated session for participants. This exchange fostered valuable discussions on team-based care in rare bone disorders.
The first in-person CEEBB meeting marked an important step toward strengthening regional collaboration and advancing care for rare bone diseases.
