Acıbadem University has officially signed its membership with the “Balkan Universities Association”

Following its acceptance to membership at the meeting held in Tirana in 2025, Acıbadem University formalized its membership in the Balkan Universities Association (BUA) through a signing ceremony held within the scope of the 9th General Assembly Meeting hosted by the University of Montenegro in Podgorica.

 At the meeting held on April 1–2, 2026, the agenda items of the Union were discussed; while universities applying for membership delivered their presentations and were evaluated as a result of the voting conducted, Acıbadem University completed the process through the signing ceremony.

With this development, the Union aims to achieve a stronger structure that further expands regional academic collaborations. Acıbadem University’s participation in BUA constitutes a significant step in line with its objectives of strengthening research excellence, internationalization, and interdisciplinary collaborations. Our University aims to contribute to the Union’s joint projects, particularly with its strong research infrastructure and academic expertise in the field of health sciences. Enhancing the mobility of students and academics, developing joint research projects, and systematically improving institutional and academic capacity in order to strengthen knowledge sharing stand out as the key objectives of our membership.
