Acıbadem Ataşehir Hospital & Acıbadem University celebrated the Physicians’ Day on March 13-14, 2025

Acıbadem Healthcare Group Ataşehir Hospital Chief Physician's Office celebrated Physicians’ Day on March 13-14, 2025, in collaboration with Acıbadem University School of Medicine, Department of History of Medicine and Ethics. Acıbadem Ataşehir Hospital Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Süda Tekin, Deputy Chief Physician Dr. Ahmet Fırat Küçükköse and the hospital employees invited Prof. Dr. Yeşim Işıl Ülman for her speech titled “Women's Entry into the Medical Profession in the World and Turkey Through Women's Rights” on March 13, 2025. Following her keynote, an exhibition dedicated to “Pioneering Female Physicians in History of Medicine” was inaugurated at the Ataşehir Hospital. In her inaugural speech, Ülman addressed the struggle of women in the world and Turkey for the right to receive education and to acquire professionalism in medicine with historic examples.

In honour of medical profession all employees of Acıbadem Ataşehir Hospital celebrated Physicians’ Day with a splendid reception led by Prof. Dr. Süda Tekin, on March 14, 2025.,  "Dr. Besim Ömer Paşa, Memoirs of a Doctor" was released with the participation of the film crew, namely, Ms. Biket İlhan, Film Producer and Director, Ms. Aydan Gündüz Author and Screenwriter, and Prof. Yesim Isil Ulman, the Advisor. The ceremony was marked by Biket İlhan's words: "This movie was literally a salutation to the physicians for me." Hospital employees watched and discussed the intellectual and professional efforts of Prof. Dr. Besim Ömer Akalın in education, training and application of obstetrics and gynecology, nursing and patient care during the transition from late Ottoman Period into the Republic of Turkey under a cinematographic effect.
