Chemistry is often called the “central science” because it is related to all natural and applied sciences such as medicine, engineering, and the life sciences, and is of great importance in many technological, environmental, and biological applications.
The aim of the Chemistry Master Program is to provide advanced theoretical and experimental knowledge and skills in the field of chemistry to young researchers who aim to pursue a career in academic or industrial fields that demand comprehensive knowledge in this field.
The program will to train chemists who, thanks to their advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in chemistry, can be employed in public and national or international private institutions, participate in interdisciplinary studies as individuals and team members, and take part in doctoral programs and research projects at national and international levels, thanks to the advanced theoretical and practical knowledge they have gained in the field of chemistry.
The curriculum focuses on organic chemistry with topics such as biochemistry, polymer chemistry, photochemistry, medicinal chemistry, and supramolecular chemistry.
To broaden students’ perspectives, seminars on selected topics led by national and international scientists and industry stakeholders will be offered.
Our high-profile faculty members are expert in the fields of medicinal chemistry, drug delivery, nanomedicine, polymeric materials, nucleic acid, carbohydrates and other biomolecules, asymmetric synthesis, porphyrinoid derivatives, photodynamic therapy and supramolecular chemistry.
In addition, Erasmus agreements are planned with distinguished European universities so that students can benefit from international exchange and experience.
