2018 – 2019 ACADEMIC YEAR FALL SEMESTER APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

For 2018 – 2019 Academic Year’s Fall Semester, we will accept student applications for our University’s Health Sciences Institute’s ‘Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Doctoral Program’ in accordance with ‘Acibadem University Graduate Education, Training and Examination Guidelines’.

Candidates, who have Undergraduate Degree; must have at least a graduate degree (4 yrs.) in one of the following majors: Biology, Chemical Engineering, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Bioengineering, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, Medical Engineering, Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary faculties or departments; applicants can apply either by submitting transcript or by documenting proof of completion until enrollment date. Candidates, who have Graduate Degree; must be a graduate of Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary, Pharmaceutics, Molecular Biology and Genetics or Biochemistry; applicants can apply either by submitting transcript or by documenting proof of completion until enrollment date.

Tuition Exemption 30.000 TL
Achievement Grant Successful students receive up to 2.500 TL monthly from the projects as well as health insurance coverage.

Language Proficiency

Candidates who apply with Graduate Degree;

Accepted tests, which are accreditted by YOK and required minimum grades are as follows: TOEFL IBT – Min. 66 points

YDS (Foreign Language Proficiency Test), UDS (Inter-university Council Foreign Language Test), KPDS (Civil Servant Foreign Language Test) or YOKDIL (Higher Education Council Foreign Language Test) – Min. 55 points

Language Proficiency

Candidates who apply with Undergraduate Degree;

Accepted tests, which are accreditted by YOK and required minimum grades are as follows: TOEFL IBT – Min. 84 points YDS (Foreign Language Proficiency Test), UDS (Inter-university Council Foreign Language Test), KPDS (Civil Servant Foreign Language Test) or YOKDIL (Higher Education Council Foreign Language Test) – Min. 70 points

Scientific Proficiency

Candidates, who apply with Graduate Degree, are asked to have scored a minimum numerical grade of 55 at ALES (Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Admission Test). Foreign students should have either scored a minimum 149 at GRE or 450 at GMAT.

Candidates, who apply with Undergraduate Degree, are asked to have scored a minimum numerical grade of 80 at ALES (Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Admission Test). Foreign students should have either scored a minimum 152 at GRE or 590 at GMAT. Undergraduate graduation GPA should be minimum 3 over 4 or an equivalent grade to that.

• Original of the undergraduate/graduate degree transcript earned from a higher education institution

• Original of the undergraduate/graduate diploma or temporary graduation certificate (A certified copy will be produced during admission) Diplomas from foreign country universities should be approved by YOK.

• A letter of intent indicating applicant’s purpose of interest in Graduate/Postgraduate Education

• Curriculum Vitae

• Two Reference Letters (in closed envelope)

• 1 photograph

• Copy of Identification

• ALES (Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Admission Test) Score Card

• Foreign Language Proficiency Document
