About Program

Academic English Program aims at developing and ensuring a high quality and sustainability of English education because English is today's “lingua franca” of international communication in all fields; therefore, it is an essential prerequisite for the students.

The English courses offered by the Program are an integral part of the education offered at Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University. We provide a learning environment for the EMI (English Medium Instruction) students to accomplish a high level of language proficiency necessary to continue their studies in their Faculties and Schools and develop their potential as critical, analytical, and autonomous learners. For departments where instruction is in Turkish, we make a huge difference by providing students with considerable amount of input by which we contribute to the maintenance and improvement of English within the university and the community at large.

Instructors in this Program work cooperatively with the departments to design meaningful courses which meet the needs of the students. The program is challenging and we have high expectations from our students and from our instructors. The courses are offered through an interactive and engaging learning environment and this is supplemented with current technologies, interdisciplinary research projects and authentic, up-to-date materials to enrich the learning experience of our students. We believe this will in turn make our graduates strong candidates for future employment who can also effectively contribute to achieve Turkey’s future vision.
