Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Coşkun, from School of Medicine Department of Medical Biochemistry, was one of the authors of the research article which is awarded the EFLM ABOTT award by the largest laboratory medicine federation in Europe, European Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (EFLM). In addition, Prof. Dr. Coşkun was selected a “Corresponding Member” to Traceability working group at the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC), largest laboratory organization in the world.

EFLM has members from 42 countries and awards best work in laboratory field. EFLM awarded BIVAC, the paper Prof. Dr. Coşkun co-authored, the EFLM ABOTT award. Also, BIVAC was published at the most prestigious journals in clinical chemistry Clinical Chemistry (impact factor 8.3).

In addition, Prof. Dr. Coşkun was selected a “Corresponding Member” to Traceability working group at the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC), largest laboratory organization in the world. Group’s aim is to strengthen the connection between laboratory measurements and metrology to ensure correct measurements were done at the universal level.
