The United Nations (UN) adopted the first UN General Assembly Resolution on ‘’Addressing the challenges faced by individuals with rare diseases and their families” on 16 December 2021. This decision accepted by all 193 states that are members of the United Nations (UN) was the first United Nations (UN) document to recognize the difficulties experienced by individuals with rare diseases and their families which are approximately 300 million people worldwide and to protect and highlight human rights for all individuals.
