The third of the Psychology Conversations series “Pandemic and Children: Unmasked Emotions in Masked Days” organized online by Assist. Prof. Dr. Ayşenur Aktaş, who is one of the faculty members of the Clinical Psychology master’s degree program, was held on January 8, 2021.
Clinical Psychologist Börte Özdemir attended as a speaker to the event organized to discuss the projection of the pandemic on the spiritual worlds of children under an academic context. Within the scope of the activity, the negative impact of the pandemic process on children, psychological difficulties encountered in children, children's reactions and feelings were emphasized, and the approaches of parents towards this process were discussed. The event ended with question and answer session.
About the speaker: Specialist Clinical Psychologist Börte ÖZDEMİR completed her undergraduate education in Psychology at Istanbul University in 2010. Then, in 2014, she successfully completed her thesis study in Istanbul Bilgi University Clinical Psychology Master's Program and received her expertise. She is a Professional Experiential Play Therapist, and she has completed EMDR training for trauma in children and adolescents.
