The article entitled "Atipamezole, a specific α2A antagonist, suppresses spike-and-wave discharges and alters Ca2⁺ /calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II in the thalamus of genetic absence epilepsy rats" has received Esat Eşkazan Basic Sciences Article award at the 12th National Epilepsy Congress. The work was the PhD thesis of our Faculty of Pharmacy member, Asst. Prof. Dr. Melis Yavuz, as well the main author and the study was coordinated by Prof. Dr. Filiz Onat, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Medical Pharmacology who is also the corresponding author.
