“Gastronomy Talks”, organized as part of the “Media and Gastronomy” class at the Vocational School Department of Culinary, brought together students with different topics and speakers in the field.
Food Stylist Nena Bekler came together with students with her talk on “Food Styling and Food Photography” on 6th February 2019.
Bekler talked about materials used in food photography and methods employed to make photos look better. She also shared the details of food photographs taken for artistic or advertising puposes using different examples.
Antoher guest of February talks was Food History and Culture researcher Ayfer Yavi. Yavi got together with students to present “A Good Deal of Börek” on 20th February 2019.
Big Chefs Restaurants Kitchen Coordinator Murat Aslan met with students and presented “Yesterday of a Cook” on 27th February 2019.
Aslan marked the importance of respect, kindness, knowledge and effort based on his personal work experience. With a give away following his talk, Aslan gave two of his signed books and a professional knife set to students.
