Dear Students,
Acıbadem University School of Medicine is one of the youngest and most competitive medical schools in Turkey.
We strive for excellence by providing the essential knowledge, encouragement, creativity and innovation needed for learning in the field.
Ameliorating the health sector in this country will in turn help us to better shape the physicians of tomorrow. By helping students to become more aware, competent in their studies, resourceful, and instilling values of leadership, we hope that Acıbadem graduates will become the new face of healthcare in Turkey.
The way to success in medicine requires much curiosity, to fuel motivation. Here at Acıbadem, under the leadership of our staff, you will gain knowledge, develop skills, discover the fascinating world of research and cultivate yourself not only in the field of medicine but also in other areas indispensable to the modern intellectual graduate: mathematics, informatics, health economy, fine arts, foreign languages and much more.
The art of learning medicine has always involved a system of apprenticeship- knowledge is passed from teacher to pupil. But it has now expanded its borders to reach "self-directed learning." We, at Acıbadem, aim to do both: gaining experience from teachers is important, however, we wish to focus more on "self-directed learning."
During your Acıbadem University career our professionally trained faculty and staff will share all they can in order to teach the skills and attitude required to be a trained health professional. All members of the medical school have a collective energy that ensures every student has access to the best the university has to offer.
The university’s faculty and staff have prepared a complex and enticing educational plan that integrates approaches to basic and clinical medicine, enriched by unique courses and community-based activities. Even so, this fairly new educational plan program has yet to mature by your impact.
Finally, we want for every student to graduate, not just with outstanding professional qualifications and superb employability skills, but also as a broadly educated individual who will become a leader in their field.
